Since 2005, Horst Ihlas has been the managing director of the Financial Lines broker Dr. Ihlas GmbH and serves the clients personally.
From 1992–2005 he was head of Financial Lines for two global market leaders and in charge for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The work group D&O at the GDV relied on his long-term experience as an insurer from 1995–2003.
He has emerged as author of specialist books and speaker.The Institute of German Companies traded by stocks (DAI e.V.) awarded in 1996 his dissertation in D&O.
Since 2008 he has been teaching at the University of Hamburg in LL.M. insurance
law.
Before his admission as a lawyer he studied in Bonn and Cologne.

Martin Bertels
Resume
Martin Bertels has been a senior Financial Lines consultant with Dr. Ihlas GmbH since 2013 and a consultant for medium-sized companies since 2010.
In 2006–2010 he worked for Aon as Senior Claims Manager in Zurich and as a M & A Senior Project Manager in Frankfurt.
From 1997–2004 he was at the Chubb insurance in Duesseldorf as a consultant and later Head of liability claims. Starting from 2002 he was a team leader in Financial Lines Claims.
From 1989–1991 he was a consultant for liability losses at Nordstern Versicherung in Cologne, previously a lawyer in Dortmund.
Prior to obtaining his lawyer’s degree in 1986, he studied in Münster.

Dagmar Laubscher-Tietze
Resume
Dagmar Laubscher-Tietze has been a specialized consultant in Financial Lines at Dr. Ihlas GmbH since 2011.
Since 1996 she has been working as a lawyer in the area of E&O and Financial Lines.
Stations of her multi-year career were both the claims, legal or contract departments of various industrial specialist insurance brokers as well as a Financial Lines insurance world market leaders.
She studied law at the universities of Mannheim and Heidelberg and completed her second legal state exam in 1995.

Florian Henn, LL.M.
Resume
Florian Henn has been a specialized consultant in Financial Lines at Dr. Ihlas GmbH since 2016.
He is a post graduate legal trainee at the Cologne District Court since 2020.
From 2018–2020, he studied insurance law and graduated as LL.M. at University of Hamburg.
Previously, he studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Cologne and passed his first state examination in 2018.
